We're just $48 away from meeting our goal of $3,029! In addition to online contributions reflected to the right, the Alliance has also received $775 in checks -- bringing the total amount raised to $2,981, or 98% of our goal! Some donors have felt more comfortable making their donation via a personal check. Help the Alliance for California Traditional Arts (ACTA) buy a new video camera so we can take great videos of all the exceptional artists and organizations we support. We'll be able to share copies of the videos with the participants and ACTA will be able to share the wealth of California's living cultural heritage in music, dance, and craft with the public at large -- on our website and in our archives where the tapes will be carefully stored and prepared as part of our permanent archival collections.
Please help us work "to ensure California's future holds California's past." We need to raise $3,028.70 by August 25, 2007, so we can begin collecting stories from ACTA's grantees and participants for a new promotional video which will help us raise more funding to support California's traditional artists.  If 101 people donated $30 each, we'd be at our goal. Some may wish to donate more, others will donate less. We hope that you'll give every consideration to this effort to support our work in documenting the great work of California's traditional artists. We're also experimenting with ChipIn.com, an online service that makes it easy and convenient for you to make your contribution online. |
